on-stem personal name in the nominative. Cf. CIL V 6640 namuni (dat., f.) in Bieno near Verbania, 6048 namonius (Milano). Probably a hypochorism of a name in namanto- 'enemy' (Lejeune 1971: 62, n. 185, KGP: 247, Stüber 1998: 108, Stüber 2005: 68, 96, Meid 2005: 278, GPN: 234–236, DLG: 231).
