Commentary

Attested four times on late La Tène ceramics, twice (BG·3, VA·14) with the same form of alpha – possibly a manufacturer's mark. Probably an abbreviation (or abbreviations) of personal names in at- (cf. ateknati, atepu, atilonei, ateratos, atepa, ateuloipitus, atios, atecua/atekua, atbiti, atlatu, atiaki, ateporix, atiss).
