Names in ⟨luc(c)⟩- are attested on Gaulish coins (e.g. RIG M-198 luccios, M-199 lucios, M-201 lucotios), as potter's names (e.g. luceios, lucinus), and in Latin inscriptions from the Gaulish area; see Delamarre 2007: 120, 225, who suggests a connection with either u̯lk- 'wolf' or the 'lynx'-word (DLG: 210).
