Commentary

Well attested both lexically in Indo-European (IEW: 605–607, LIV²: 334 f., NIL: 426) and Celtic (OIr. cloth, MW clod, OBret. clot (gl. rumoris), Co. clos; Matasović 2009 s.v. *kluto-, LEIA: C-124 f., Irslinger 2002: 263) and as Gaulish onomastic element (DLG: 119), in simplex names and in compounds as first or second element.
