Comparanda include names in dun(n)- (see Delamarre 2007: 91 f.), formed from the base dunn- 'brown' (e.g. CIL V 5618 dunnonis [gen., Castelseprio – the name of the father of a surica]) or dūn- 'fort', as well as rarer tun(n)-, e.g. CIL V 7311 tunnius (Susa).
