Inscribed on the bottom of the patera near the foot; only the first three letters are legible, but the inscription can be emended to {{w||aruki}} (cf. The form is a personal name in the genitive; the fact that it is inscribed on '''five''' ceramic objects from (probably) the same grave indicates that it is an owner's inscription.

Commentary

First published in Morandi 2004: 676.

Images in Frontini 1985: tav. 6.4 (drawing), Morandi 2004: 679, fig. 27.243 (drawing), De Marinis & Motta 2007: 159, fig. 6.1 (drawing).

Inscribed on the bottom of the patera near the foot; only the first three letters are legible, but the inscription can be emended to aruki (cf. BS·12, BS·13, BS·27, BS·28 from the same grave). The form is a personal name in the genitive; the fact that it is inscribed on five ceramic objects from (probably) the same grave indicates that it is an owner's inscription.
