Commentary
Probably the fragment of a personal name, either a compound beginning with tuti̯o- or a simplex name tuti̯os. The underlying morpheme may be tou̯t-, in which case the name may be a compound with tou̯ti̯os 'citizen' or with (possible) tou̯ti̯o- 'left, bad, magic' (cf. toutiopouos), or hypocoristic tou̯ti̯os (attested in Gaulish toutios, Delamarre 2007: X) from either of these semantic options. This analysis presupposes monophthongisation and raising of the stem vowel (cf. DLG: 295) at a rather early date. Since no good examples for raising of /ō/ to /ū/ are otherwise known from Cisalpine Celtic, an analysis of the base as dut- (dut(t)i̯o-) may be preferable.
