Commentary

Images in Solinas 1995: tav. LXV c (photo), Morandi 2004: 656, fig. 24.211 (drawing), Morandi 2007: 290, fig. 282 (photo), Casini & Motta 2018: 119, fig. 2.2 (photo and drawings).

Fragment of the shoulder, neck and rim of a pot; tapering outward-bending rim; fine micaceous clay; surface unglazed and orange-brown. Original rim diam. 7.6 cm. Found in the intersection of us 1 and 2 in a distubed context together with materials from various phases. Solinas 1995: 333, no. 33 and Morandi 2004: 657, no. 211 (also Morandi 2007: 290, no. 1) date the object to the 5th century BC (on palaeographical grounds?), but according to Casini & Motta 2018: 118 it can be compared to similar objects from La Tène C1 and 2 from Milano (4th/3rd century BC).
