Commentary

Fragment of the shoulder of an oval pot with thickened rim, middle-fine clay with sandy and micaceous enclaves; both outer and inner surface black. Original max. diameter 15.4 cm, original mouth diameter 12 cm. Found in the archaeological area of vicolo Aquila Nera, north of the Biblioteca Civica; structure 458 may be a Golasecchan house; possibly also from the same stratigraphical context as BG·44 Bergamo. The rough dating is based on comparison with similar objects from Como. (Casini & Motta 2018: 124)
