Commentary

Plate of black-glazed ware, part of the grave inventory of the Campo Mantuì tomb (cf. BG·38 Verdello from the same tomb). Beside the inscription, two longish parallel scratches on the bottom and a double-cross symbol on the foot (photos in Morandi 2003: 134, figs 22 and 23). Dating from Poggiani Keller 2003b: 100.
