Commentary

Possibly an abbreviation of a personal name beginning in ka-, cf. kasiuos, kaio, kaialoiso, katua, kaputus, ka?(, and a further possible abbreviation kat/kai. VR·32 may be associated with VR·31 kasilus at the same necropolis; cf. VR·27 es (Marchesini & Stifter 2018: 149). The similar VA·18 and VA·24, possibly together with VA·27 kaio at the same necropolis (Morandi 2004: 602, no. 118, 606, no. 124), may be workman's signatures.
