The monuments from the Lunigiana are dated by typological analogy, since no archaeological context is known (apart from the Stela di Minucciano, see therefore Ambrosi & Mannoni 1972: 244). The weapons depicted on the stelae can be compared with known archaeological types from the Hallstatt culture and etruscan (Este?) culture: "Antenna dagger" ("Antennendolch") from Ha C2, Ha D2 (dated in Golasecca area between 2^nd half of the 7^th and 1^st half of the 6^t century BC) and socketed axe with rectangular blade from the Etruscan context (2^nd quarter of the 6^t century BC. Maggiani 1987: 438, fn. 6; there cited literature for Hallstatt parallels: De Marinis 1975: 262-265, Stary 1981: 300-301, Etruscan parallels: Stary 1981: I 86-87, II 457 (Map E1, Type W 46)). Cf.
