The sizes vary slightly in literature (cf. Motta 2000: 200, Tibiletti Bruno 1997: 1005 fn. 7). Tibiletti Bruno 1997: 1005-1006, fn. 8-9) dates the inscription TI·34.3 on the back side of this fragmented stela earlier due to palaeography and because the first part of the inscription lacks. After her TI·34.1 resp. TI·34.2 are complete and incised secondarly after the fragmentation of the stone (see also Tibiletti Bruno 1970, Tibiletti Bruno 1978: 137-138, Tibiletti Bruno 1969b: 240 cf. though De Marinis & Motta 1990-1: 217). In all the three inscriptions on this stone the onomastic formula consists only of the personal name (cf. Tibiletti Bruno 1997: 1016, and perhaps ).

Rough slab of grey mica schist found in 1900 by the worker Pietro Barizzi while digging up sand on the property of one Giuseppe Colombo, at a depth of 3.5 m. The slab covered a pit, probably a grave, devoid of furniture; an complete incineration grave with stone chamber and furniture, datable to G III A according to De Marinis & Motta 1991: 204, was found a few metres from the one covered by the stone in the same year (Giussani 1902: 25 f.). The stela is the only inscribed stone document from the Valle Capriasca. Its dating depends on that of TI·34.3; see the inscription pages for palaeographical and typological datings of the inscriptions and their frames.
