ā-stem personal name, also attested in Transalpine Gaulish (Delamarre 2007: 29, and cf. atepo (dat.) on a Roman stela from Casalzuigno, Varese (Sartori 2009: 218, VA18.02). Etymology uncertain; see atepu and ateporix for details, and cf. also the possible abbreviation atep.
