Very probably a workman's mark considering the reoccurrence of the sequence in the area of Bergamo (even though two instances are dextroverse and one, BG·7, is sinistroverse). An abbreviation of a personal name seems feasible; besides Gaulish names in bitu-, possible comparanda are provided by Raetic and assorted North Italic names in pit- (see TIR and Salomon 2020: 380 with n. 24).
