Commentary

Images in Barelli 1877b: tav. I.14 (drawing by Giuseppe Massuero), Barelli 1877/Garovaglio 1877: tav. I.20 (drawing = Tibiletti Bruno 1969b: 284, tav. XII.26), Oberziner 1883: tav. XVIII.4 (drawing copied from Garovaglio), Pauli 1885: Taf. I.18c (drawing copied from Massuero).

Fragment of the rim of a ceramic vessel of reddish clay (Garovaglio 1877: 36, no. 20), found at Rondineto in a (presumed) tomb near the Camera grande, together with CO·3 Rondineto (Barelli 1877: 13, Barelli 1877b: 102, Luraschi et al. 1969: 230 f., no. 48). Generic dating to G III A above is given in accordance with the overall dating of the Rondineto graffiti (De Marinis & Motta 1991: 214). Ought to be in the Museo Paolo Giovio with the other finds from Rondineto, but reported untraceable already by Rhŷs 1914: 8, still "attualmente irreperibile" by Morandi.
