Description: Specifies the script to which an inscription's script has been adapted.
Type: String
Allows value: Greek script, Etruscan script, Latin script, North Italic script, Camunic script, none, unknown

Definition

Script adaptation encompasses vernacular scripts adapted to adstrate scripts as well as foreign scripts showing influence from vernacular ones. The values listed above are automatically taken from Property:script, but the only adaptation processes currently relevant for our purposes are Latinised variants of the North Italic script (letter forms, additional letters, or orthographic features), and Latin-script documents which show substrate influence from North Italic writing (predominantly in letter forms).
