Inscribed on the foot of the beaker obliquely below TI·48.1. De Marinis & Biaggio Simona read sem, cf. Morandi, Pernet et al. 2006: 230. Sigma and epsilon are clear, what follows could be Latin nu N6 d as well as I dU d (Crivelli). Latin mu M6 d is suggested by an additional short scratch extending from the top of the second hasta of N6 d, but this is hardly another hasta. The sequence may be an abbreviation of a personal name (see the word page); the relation of the inscription to the other one on the foot is unclear.
