The fiasca a trottola (type 3.2) comes from one of the graves which were excavated by Domenico Pini without supervision; the inventory includes objects from different periods and is probably not authentic (Tori et al. 2004: 62, 64, Tori et al. 2010: 261 f.; the grave complex is described in Tori et al. 2004: 101 f.). On the classification of the object see Pernet et al. 2006: 223–225, 264, cat. 91. See also Ulrich 1914 I: 545.

The dating follows Pernet et al. 2006; De Marinis & Biaggio Simona 2000: 462, no. 530 give the late 2nd–early 1st century BC.
