Commentary

A group of oblique lines scratched into the bottom on the inside of the vessel (length 3.5 cm). Both Solinas and Marchesini identify sinistroverse alpha with an oblique hasta; it cannot be excluded that the criss-crossing scratches are a non-script mark.
