Commentary

The attested form is too fragmentary to be amenable to an etymological analysis. Unlikely to be language-encoding in MI·5. ti on a bowl fragment from Rondineto belongs with the numerous two-letter sequences on ceramics best interpreted as abbreviations (for names with ti- cf. tisiui, tiou, tikou, ti(...)asui, )tiris???v?( or )tioiso) must be kept apart from ti in the petrographs from Carona, where it occurs repeatedly in initial position and appears to have a lexical or grammatical function. Since the latter is at this point utterly obscure, the two tis share a word page for the time being.
