Commentary

Remains of an o-stem personal name in the dative. Celtic comparanda for the incomplete name are legion; cf. on other pala-stelae slaniai (→ slani̯os*) and ]nialui (patronym from also incomplete °ni̯os*) (Rhŷs 1913: 22, Tibiletti Bruno 1997: 1015, n. 35, Motta 2000: 202 f.).
