Commentary

The petrograph site east of Carona, on the southern slopes of Monte Aga (2100–2400m a.s.l.), incorporates four groups of rocks (Casini & Fossati 2013: 377ff.), referred to as Le Torbiere (LTB), Aga (AGA), Valsecca (VLS) and Camisana (CMS). The petrographs are predominantly modern; only the locality Camisana features older documents. Rock CMS1 is the only one with Celtic material; at least six inscriptions in the Camunic alphabet are written on CMS63.

CMS1, 16m2 in size, is situated close to the sources of the Brembo, overlooking the Valle Camisana. See Casini & Fossati 2013: 379 on the petroglyphs.
