Commentary
The preposition is very common as prefix in Continental Celtic onomastics, in its lexical meaning 'with' or in equative or affirmative function, and in variants kom-, kon-, ko-, kob-, kov- (Holder 1896–1907 I: 1068 ff., Schmidt 1957: 175–182, Evans 1967: 183–186, DLG: 121 f., Meid 2005: 166–170, Delamarre 2007: 217 et passim, Matasović 2009: 213 f., Wodtko 2013: 226 f.).
