Commentary
Masculine o- or i̯o-stem personal name in the genitive. The base is most probably the common onomastic element u̯indo- 'bright, fair' (Morandi 2001: 13, no. 7, 2004: 602, no. 119) with non-spelling of /d/ in the cluster /nd/ (see The Cisalpine Celtic Languages) → u̯ind(i̯)os 'fair', cf. Transalpine Gaulish uindus, uindius (Delamarre 2007: 200, and see the morpheme page for further comparanda). Also possible is u̯en- 'clan', attested in Cisalpine Celtic uenu, uenia, with raising of /e/ to /i/ as in vinicarus, vinedia (Meid 2005: 307 f.), cf. uenius (Delamarre 2007: 194). Unlikely u̯inno- < *u̯egno- 'drive' as attested in Gaul. couinnos 'chariot' and possibly the personal name uxouinos (DLG: 127, cf. uinnos Delamarre 2007: 201).
