Sandstone spindle whorl, cylindrical with slightly rounded edges and smoothed surface (find no. 211), found in structure 277 (a house) at the Parre Castello site. The structure was in use during the late 6th and 5th c. BC. See Poggiani Keller 1990b: 21 f. and Poggiani Keller 1991c: 18 f. The find year 1992 indicated by Solinas 1995: 384 is incorrect.
Morandi 2004: 654 and 2007: 296 f., no. 20 assumes that the object is a votive gift. Solinas and Morandi 2001: 16 date the document to the 5th century BC, which is roughly in agreement with Poggiani Keller 1990b: 22; see the inscription page for Morandi's later palaeographical dating.
