Commentary

Image in Veronesi 1990: tav. XIVi (drawings).

Black-glazed patera found in the ustrinum of grave 1 of the 1986–7 excavation according to Binaghi Leva 1990: 55; the burial of a female is considered to be one of the elite graves (Binaghi Leva 1990: 34, 52–55). (Morandi locates the find in grave 4 of the excavation in autumn 1993, but "T. 1" is noted on the object.) See also Volontè Fredini 1990: 70. Cf. VA·13 Arsago Seprio from the associated grave. Dating from Volontè Fredini 1990: 70; the grave is dated to the Augustan period by Binaghi Leva 1990: 52.
