Commentary
Most likely an abbreviated personal name (Morandi 1999: 164), though a genitive in -ī cannot be excluded (cf. tati). Cf. CIL V 7832 blaiae (Forum Germanorum), 7349 blaionia (Revelli), V 7845 blaisicius (Busca) (AcS I: 443 f., Delamarre 2007: 43); names in blai(s)- cluster in Liguria and Gallia Narbonensis and appear to belong to a Ligurian stratum (Untermann 2006: 1763, 1767). Cf. also names in plai(s)- attested in Etruscan graffiti from Genova: ET² Li 2.6 plaisaś, Li 0.6 plaiṣ[, Li 0.7 pla (see Colonna 2004: 302, no. 1, 304, no. 14 and 15a, Mees 2024: 204). Cf. maybe pla(.
