''anatikou'' is most probably a personal name, though its exact analysis is uncertain. Initial ''ana''- is reminiscent of names with preverb syntagmata like {{w||anareuiśeos}}, {{w||anarekartos}}: {{m||an- 2|an-}}/{{m||ande-}}{{m||ad-}}/{{m|ate-}}. This would leave a base ''ik''- ({{bib|DLG}}: 187 ''ico''-?) or, with syncope/haplology, possibly ''tik''- (see {{w||tikou}} for potential comparanda and etymologies). anatikou is most probably a personal name, though its exact analysis is uncertain. Initial ana- is reminiscent of names with preverb syntagmata like anareuiśeos, anarekartos: an-/ande-ad-/ate-. This would leave a base ik- (DLG: 187 ico-?) or, with syncope/haplology, possibly tik- (see tikou for potential comparanda and etymologies). Final -ou is most likely the on-stem nominative singular ending -ū (see the inscription page), though an abbreviation of an even longer compound name anatiko-u̯° cannot be excluded (cf. Marinetti & Prosdocimi 1994: 44). Cf. also the coin legend RIG M-22 anadgouoni (see Delamarre 2007: 20). Formally possible is a derivation with -ik- from *anation 'soul, spirit', but the latter does not occur in personal names (DLG: 44 f.).
