Commentary

Image in Simone 1986: 109, tav. IV g (drawing).

Unpainted patera imitating type Lamboglia 5 of black-glazed ware (detailed description in Simone 1986: 110 sub g), used as cinerary urn in tomb 7 of the small necropolis in Via Soragana together with two more paterae (one of them inscribed), two pots, two fibulae, and a spindle whorl indicating a female burial (Simone 1986: 110, 100). Dating according to Simone 1986: 100 for the necropolis; Morandi gives specifically LT D 1 (based on typology?).
