Commentary
Nominal form in the dative plural; unclear whether lexical or onomastic.
Lejeune 1971: 102 f. "nom obscure" (130 tentative connection with ulkos); Markey & Mees 2003: 149–152 *upo-h₂l̥-tí-àu̯i̯o-bʰos 'grandsons (remote descendants) of the fostered one'; Stifter 2003: 239, n. 1 misspelling for uvlitauiopos with <uv> = [φ] and first element PC *φlitau̯ī < PIE *pl̥th₂u̯ih₂ 'earth' → *φlitau̯(i)i̯o- 'belonging to the earth', taken up by Eska 2024d, who adds *upo- in front to account for <uv> (as in uvamokozis): uφlitau̯(i)i̯o- 'situated under the earth', with /o/ lost through haplology.
Motta 1983: 66 f., Motta 2000: 197 (*u̯lati- 'lords'), De Bernardo Stempel 1990: 26-30, De Bernardo Stempel 1999: 358, 427 (uFiTiauioPos /uXidiawyobos/).
